If your default value is set to 20, for example, then you will use an expiration date of 12/31/19; if it's set to 30 then you will use an expiration date of 12/31/29. NOTE: If your #CYR Default Value is set to a value of less than 20, then we recommend you change it to 20 (or higher). After you change it, you will need to refer to the document titled: WS: DIST Gen: Effective-Through Dates and #CYR Default (Doc ID 656831.1) in My Oracle Support to perform additional steps. The process of changing the #CYR Default Value affects dates in different parts of the system, so it is important that you follow the instructions in this document after changing the value. JD Edwards World Release – From any menu, type 97 on the command line. Under the column labeled Release Level, find the highest letter/number combination, for example A7.3. This is your JDE release. Columns 11 through 13 will contain your release level. You are now ready to generate a new SPC and Install Key.

NOTE: The Licensed Expiration Date in the generator is in MMDDYY format. The Software Expiration Date should be entered in the same format as your system date. In the Software Licensed Users field enter the value that you specified in the Licensed Number of Users parameter on the generator screen. LEAVE YOUR EXISTING SESSION UP (so you don’t get locked out of JDE if the SPC is incorrect).

Open up a new session and verify that you can sign on. Proceed to step 10. If you get an SPC error upon sign-on then go back to step 1 in this process and verify you have performed all the necessary steps correctly.
